Lucha is an elefant from Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire. She stopped to eat and zoo workers started to worry about her behaviour. They decided to resort to a dentist. Dr. Peter Kertesz went to the zoo and he looked at Lucha's teeth. He removed a big troubling tooth and the elefant was very grateful.
The problem was that this tooth was in the wrong position and not moving forward and dropping wasn't correct and front portion of the roots were starting to resolve and it was infected too.
The procedure took two hours to removing the wrong tooth and flatten the coronal surface.
Lucha was sleeping during the procedure and when it finished, she was hungry and safe, and she doesn't visit the dentist for a long time.
I chose this new because I really like animals and especially the elephants. When I was little and I went to the zoo my favourite animal was the elephant. When I saw this new I imagined an elephant going to the dentist, and this imatge was very funny in my mind. Of course, I thought it could be an interesting new because I never imagine an elephant with teeth hurt.
